Bio

Caleb Brinkley is a freelance Saxophonist, Flutist, and Clarinetist located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. With a heart for God, music, and traveling he strives to move forward and bless people along the way. Caleb has performed in ten countries including Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and the United States of America.  During his undergraduate study he played lead alto for the University of North Carolina at Greensboro Jazz Ensemble which performed Wessel Anderson, Joey Calderazzo, Ryan Kisor, and Ralph Bowen. Also during his undergraduate study Caleb spent a semester abroad at the New Zealand School of Music playing lead alto for the NZSM Jazz Fusion Ensemble.

Caleb has performed with the Piedmont Youth Jazz Orchestra, Greensboro Big Band, Jim Schnefel Quintet, Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, The Shrielles, and the Western Region All-State Jazz Band. With a passion for education and a love of willing students he has maintained a private studio teaching guitar, saxophone, flute, piano, and clarinet since the age of 15. In May 2009 he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a double major in Music Education and Jazz Performance only to begin his post graduate career by performing with Princess Cruise Lines. Aboard the Golden Princess he performed in a wide variety of ensembles to include the Princess Cruise line Show Band, Jazz Combo, Latin Ensemble, and various Pop/ Top 40 ensembles.

In May of 2010 he graduated Basic Military Air Force Training and started to perform with United States Air Force Band of the Golden West at Travis Air Force Base California. Caleb performed with the Band of the Golden West Concert Band and “The Commanders” Jazz Ensemble.  During his time in the Air Force Caleb has traveled all over the west coast to various, concert halls, high schools, venues and events. Some of these have included the Monterey Jazz Festival, Eureka Jazz Festival, Sitka Jazz Festival, Vacaville Jazz Festival, Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, and the Hollywood Bowl. The Bands have performed with artists such as Vince Gil, the LA Phil Harmonic, Carl Saunders, and the highest of Bay Area Talent.

“Closer” is the name of an original EP project released in July of 2012.

After a change of location to Colorado Springs, CO, Caleb began performing with the United States Academy Band at Peterson AFB Colorado in January of 2015.  He will continue to tour with the Academy Concert band and “Falconaires” Jazz Ensemble along the mid-western United States.

In his leisure time Caleb enjoys traveling, attending church activities, spending time with friends and family, loving and blessing people along the way.
